As one of Australia's leading fashion apparel retailers, the General Pants Group exists to disrupt the average.

In addition to the well known General Pants Co. brand, the Group also owns the leading surf brands Surf Dive ‘n' Ski and Jetty Surf and operates a number of Billabong concept stores.

Under the leadership of Managing Director Howard Goldberg, the Group runs its Head Office out of funky Castlereagh St offices in the Sydney CBD, a Distribution Centre (Warehouse) out of West Footscray in Melbourne and a network of 75 stores split across the four trading names.

The 75 stores are located in both centres and shopping strips across the major cities of 6 of the 8 Australian states and territories:

A new team of summer casuals is recruited into the stores through September and October in preparation for the busy December and January period and sees the number of people working for the Group increase from around 1000 to about 1600 at its peak.

This number includes about 80 people who work in the Head Office, where the Finance, IT, Supply Chain, HR and Front Office teams work along side the retail specialist teams of Retail Operations Management, Buying, Merchandise Planning, Marketing, and VM for each of General Pants Co. and Surf.

With its long standing history going back over 30 years, the Group is also proud of the fact that some of the team has been with the business for over 10 years.
